Favorite Things Monday: Dalliance with a Swatch

September 10, 2007

the first time, you were scratchy and biased

and you fell apart if i tugged too hard

in time, i learned how to twist you without breaking you

after a long bath i realized how truly dirty you were

you softened and relaxed and draped yourself across my lap

your twists less sharp, but biased still

because you’re a single looking for the way

    And does it talk back?

She does look a wee bit stubborn in her biases! Glad she softened up.

She will be stubborn, but she looks like a wonderful mate to the pattern….

How do you feel about her now?

Such a good and diligent swatcher you are! So what’s the verdict?

Wow, I love that sweater, I hope you can make it work. Will it be for you? Or should I remind you that I love the color of that yarn and if you don’t have time to knit it………

Hey-and not that I’m complaining, but didn’t you just inform us of your intent to cut back on the posting on the blog and all that other stuff because of school? Seems to me that you are posting even more, I could be wrong. I hope you keep it up.

    Is bloglines finding your feed?

What if you skeined the yarn off the cone and washed it BEFORE you knit with it? Give it a little light agitation too to make it bloom really well. Then swatch and see how the cables pop. Not that I’m trying to push you into the Tangled Yoke Cardigan!

Okay, I totally am trying to push you into it. I just love that cardigan so much and I think that color would be so great for it.

    Ooh, pretty.

Being biased isn’t always bad. I think she looks quite pretty.

I’m torn! Either of those patterns would be fantastic in this color.
