Antics in the Caseroom & the Bedroom

The mitten-in-progress learned some Economics tonight
What mitten, you ask? Flying under the blogdar, it’s Austermann Step (the yarn with Aloe Vera and JoJoBo Oil in it) that was intended to be a sock for those first couple inches of ribbing, and suddenly screamed out to be a mitten. What can I say? I do what the yarn tells me.
How’s this for sexy?
It’s especially sexy when you note the pile of crap on Wifey’s bedside stand (I’m not trash-talkin’ here. mine is equally gross), the half-scraped wallpaper behind the lamp (which represents every wall in our bedroom), the Wall Street Journal on my computer, and lesson plans on Wifey’s computer. Yeah, we’re hot.

Aw, but you’re together. I like to just knit in the same room as Sparky when she’s doing homework… there’s some togetherness in that.
PS. You’re at Simmons, right? So is Sparky…

LMAO — hey! Good to see someone else lives like I do, only you are brave enough to blog about it! I love the mitten, btw. If the aloe and Jojoba do their job, what a nice boost for dry winter hands.

I do like how those spots are appearing. Those mittens will be great on dry hands this winter.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who piles trash on my bedside table like that.

I concur with Wenders - at least you’re together! So funny, maybe hubby and I should try that out.

Good choice on the mittens… At least you’re at home! When hub was in school (and we had an infant) he left around 6 a.m. and didn’t return until 11 ish at night. I did get a lot of knitting done though! Our bedroom looks quite similar minus the wallpaper only he has clothes all over the place. I’ve given up picking up after him.

We have little piles of crap just like that all over our house (at least, we do until the impending arrival of company). It’s just too much effort to get up to trhow it away. Especially when curled up under a blanket
Nice mitten, BTW.

I love the mitten. The yarn looks so yummy. You will have to keep us informed of its wearing wonders when the weather begins to permit. I might just have to get some for socks for Wifey for bed.
It is so good to see that everyone else has “home improvement” jobs around their house as well. We have our share too and perhaps I should start sharing like you. I might get some hints or tips along the way….
Spending time together in bed, regardless of the activity is always sexy! Unless some one is very sick and then you might want to wait until the contagious part passes…
Can’t wait for more updates!

It was good seeing you last week!
Love those mittens. My last pair I lost the pattern as I was about to attempt the top, so just made it up. I now mismatched mittens…one with a rather lumpy top. I really have to stop being such a sloppy knitter! You are an inspiration!
My best,
Zuzu

BOW chicka WOW WOW!
Damn, girl! You gotta put up warnings for that kind of thing: Not Safe For Work! My boss(es) find out I’m looking at pictures of two MacBooks in a bed together, I’m hosed!

Uber hot. I like the idea of the aloe in a mitten.

All that togetherness is hot! I have a thing about doing anything in bed that isn’t, well, you know sleeping and stuff you do in bed. So we sit down in the family room with our computers or watching the game. Pete will read in bed, I will not. He would have a TV there, I will not. So I guess taking pics of what we are doing in bed would be either really boring or not fit for the internet (hopefully not both-hee).
And, his nightstand looks just like that, mine does not. And I am no neat freak. I just don’t hang out there to make a mess.

Hey - at least you’re in bed together! Glad to hear that you won’t be abandoning this blog - we’re patient people, we’ll enjoy whatever you do. Can’t even imagine going back to school - since I read your news I can’t get “gradual school” out of my head (from The World According to Garp).
Love that sock mitten too!
