Favorite Things Monday: 70% off
July 2, 2007
Yep, all of this was 70% off. It was almost immoral.
That’s 8 skeins of Debbie Bliss Pure Cashmere and 1 ball of Reynolds Odyssey in a color that I’ve been ogling for months, and it cost me just over $30. Meow.
ETA: Sorry for being unintentionally vague. I got this haul on Saturday at Three Bags Full in Newburyport. The shop is closing and Saturday was literally the very last day, so everything was 70% off. I didn’t expect to find anything, considering that the shop started with 20% off sale pricing many weeks ago and has been slowly offering better and better prices. But it wasn’t totally picked over. Hooray!

Gorgeous. What’s the cashmere going to be when it grows up?

I’m with Kat….what will all that wonderful green cashmere be when it grows up.
So jealous but with a birthday this week I will have to see what the friends and family come up with….
Till then, I’ll drool over yours….

I’m not sure that being in Florida on vacation is going to console my DD for missing out on this. I loved Newburyport. Was this at 3 bags full?

I totally stayed away throughout the entire closing sale. What kind of knit/stasher does that make me!? I almost went over on Saturday and decided against it, I knitted instead. Had I known there was cashmere, however…….

I have yet to see a true, store-wide sale at any of my LYS’. WOW!

I’m still shocked that this store closed. I can’t remember if Newbury port has another one (I’ve only been there once with Wenders. I’d love to hear the inside scoop.
My LYS is having a sale just to keep things exciting. And they do big honking “move the merchandise” sales in June and January.
