Altho Salem didn't have the flooding that I know of like other towns did. But, I stayed inside knitting and listen to the wind and never ventured forth looking for flood waters anyway. I think *maybe* I remember it flooding with a couple of the bigger hurricanes. It's so strange to see pictures on knitting blogs of old stomping grounds. I moved out of the area almost 10 years ago. NYC got 8 inches of rain last weekend, but I guess since the ocean is right here, we don't notice when the water level goes up. Although I was very happy that my boyfriend had moved out of his old apartment - the bedroom was in the basement and that sucker would flood every single time we had a heavy rain...
